Welcome to the nearly one-mile Thurmont Trolley Trail that will take you to the Thurmont Regional Library! Explore, learn, and seek out all that nature has to offer on this beautiful trail! The Trolley Trail construction [by the Thurmont Lions Club] consisted of stabilizing stream banks, erection of four bridges, including the "Gene Long" Bridge, and a 40-foot bridge across the Hunting Creek. This project required more than 1,800 tons of stone, and over more than 1,000 volunteer hours to complete. The Trolley trail has been so popular the trail was blacktopped in the fall of 2017 by the town of Thurmont.

Additions to the Thurmont Trolley Trail and Murals on Main Street have included benches, picnic tables, and lights to enhance your Trolley Trail expedition.

We hope you find walking and cycling along the Trolley Trail to be very relaxing with the sounds of the relaxing waters of Hunting Creek, and enjoy the natural beauty of the Thurmont Trolley Trail!

Along your Trolley Trail journey, you will find varieties of local and regional aspects of vegetation indigenous to Thurmont. Keep your eyes open for trees including
