1. Sheriff’s Police Car Marker
Inscription. This 1948 Super Deluxe is an original police car used on patrol from 1948 until 1951.

It has the original 100 HP V8 Flathead Motor. The paint scheme reflects the colors and design used by the St. Johns County Sheriff's Office in the 50's and 60's. The siren-red light and red bumper lights are original. The federal sign & signal co. model Beacon-Ray (Gumball) roof light was invented in 1948. The St. Johns County Sheriff's Office is proud to have this unique vehicle representing its office for many years to come. Prisoners would be brought to the Old Jail in a similar car until the new jail was constructed in 1953.

The old jail served as St. John’s County’s Jail from 1891-1953.
