1. Heritage Point Marker

Inscription.
This section of park came into being in May 1968 when three flags were raised in Crescent Park to recognize sovereignty over the land by the French, British and United States in May 1979. The stone monuments with plaques was erected commemorating the visit in 1749 of Celeron de Blainville, who claimed the land in the name of the French King Louis XV. The fourth flag was erected in 1986 to recognize the Seneca Nation of Indians who were the original natives. The Warren community erected the birdstone monument in 1987 as a tribute to the Seneca Nation.
