Regarding Millcreek Township. Steam Corner offered early farmers and the community a place well situated with transportation, farm community, and a water source for steam threshing tactors to work.
Threshing rings would organize at harvest time at Steam Corner for mutual assistance and to help other farmers to thresh their wheat crop. They also aided in community socialization with music, information, and a good times.

4. Early Day School Hack, Predecessor to the Modern School Bus.
School Hacks were specifically built to transport children to and from school as school buses are today. They were usually owned by individuals that contracted the service for the school year -or- donated their use for the school year. Heating stoves were used to help keep warm in the cold Winter months.
