Regarding Site of Schooley's Mountain Mineral Spring. The marker memorializes a famous chalybeate mineral spring, known to the Leni Lenape natives that developed into one of the first health resorts in the United States. Known as Schooley's Mountain Springs it served the wealthy of Philadelphia and NYC, including several US Presidents and Joseph Bonaparte who came to stay in the summer hotels.
