1. The Cobblestone or Ferry Farm Marker

Inscription. Known during the Civil War as a station on the so called Underground Railroad. The trail of the slaves to Canada was broken by bringing them across the lake from Union Springs which was an ardent abolition Quaker village. This too was the landing place of an Indian canoe ferry and of the first white man’s ferry.
