Victoria Cross and George Cross Recipients Historical Markers

Markers associated with recipients of the Victoria Cross, the highest award for valor which can be bestowed upon an individual serving in the Armed Services of Great Britain and the British Commonwealth. Also, the George Cross, which is equal in stature in the UK honours system to the Victoria Cross. This has always been the case since the introduction of the award in 1940, per the UK Ministry of Defence.
