The Nez Perce Trail Historical Markers
The Nez Perce War of 1877 saw the Niimíipuu leave their home near Enterprise, Oregon and flee through Idaho and Wyoming in order to avoid being put on a new reservation, before their defeat in northwestern Montana and exile.
